Strawberry Overnight Oats (Printable Version)

Creamy make-ahead oats with fresh strawberries and chia seeds

# What You Need:

→ Oats Mixture

01 - 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
02 - 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
03 - 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
04 - 1 tablespoon chia seeds
05 - 1–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
06 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
07 - Pinch of salt

→ Strawberries

08 - 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and diced

→ Toppings (optional)

09 - Additional sliced strawberries
10 - Chopped nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts)
11 - Shredded coconut

# Directions:

01 - In a medium bowl or large jar, combine oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to incorporate all ingredients thoroughly.
02 - Gently fold in the diced strawberries until evenly distributed throughout the oat mixture.
03 - Cover the container and refrigerate for at least 6–8 hours, preferably overnight, to allow oats to soften and flavors to meld.
04 - In the morning, stir the oats thoroughly. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of milk to reach desired consistency.
05 - Divide into serving bowls or jars. Top with extra strawberries, nuts, or coconut if desired. Serve chilled.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Breakfast is literally waiting for you when you wake up
  • The strawberries get sweeter and more flavorful overnight
02 -
  • Glass jars work better than plastic because they do not hold onto smells
  • The texture improves after the first night so make a double batch
03 -
  • Mix the chia seeds while the liquid is at room temperature so they do not clump
  • Use a fork instead of a spoon to break up any lumps before serving
