Low-carb, protein-packed burger bowls with lean meat, fresh veggies, avocado, and tangy yogurt sauce for quick meals.

# What You Need:

→ Proteins

01 - 1 lb lean ground beef or turkey
02 - ½ tsp salt
03 - ½ tsp black pepper
04 - ½ tsp garlic powder

→ Vegetables & Toppings

05 - 4 cups shredded romaine or iceberg lettuce
06 - 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
07 - ½ cup red onion, thinly sliced
08 - 1 cup pickles, chopped
09 - 1 avocado, diced
10 - ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

→ Burger Sauce

11 - ⅓ cup plain Greek yogurt
12 - 2 tbsp ketchup
13 - 1 tbsp yellow mustard
14 - 1 tsp smoked paprika
15 - 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
16 - Salt and pepper, to taste

# Directions:

01 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef or turkey, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook, breaking the meat apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 8 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
02 - In a small bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, ketchup, yellow mustard, smoked paprika, and apple cider vinegar. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust seasoning as desired and set aside.
03 - Divide the shredded lettuce evenly among four bowls. Spoon the cooked ground meat over the lettuce in each bowl.
04 - Arrange the halved cherry tomatoes, sliced red onion, chopped pickles, diced avocado, and shredded cheddar cheese over the meat in each bowl.
05 - Drizzle the burger sauce generously over each bowl. Serve immediately while the meat is still warm.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The burger sauce alone is worth making this, and you will want to put it on everything from eggs to roasted potatoes.
  • It comes together faster than delivery and actually keeps you full for hours without that heavy, sluggish feeling.
  • Meal prep gold: each component stores separately so nothing gets soggy by Thursday.
02 -
  • Do not dress the bowls until right before eating or the lettuce will collapse into a sad, watery mess within minutes.
  • Let the meat cool slightly before assembling if you are prepping ahead, because direct heat on lettuce is the fastest path to slime.
03 -
  • Shred the cheese yourself from a block rather than buying pre shredded because the anti caking coating on bagged cheese prevents it from melting softly over the warm meat.
  • Make the sauce first and let it sit in the fridge while you cook everything else because the paprika and vinegar need time to fully develop their flavor.
