01 - Place the frozen banana slices into a high-powered food processor or blender. If your machine lacks power, let the slices sit at room temperature for 2 to 3 minutes to soften slightly before processing.
02 - Pulse until the bananas break down into small crumbly pieces, then continue blending until the mixture transforms into a smooth, creamy consistency. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed throughout the process.
03 - Add any desired flavor ingredients such as cocoa powder, frozen berries, nut butter, vanilla extract, or salt. Blend again until all additions are fully incorporated and the mixture is uniform. If the consistency is too thick, add a small splash of plant-based milk to loosen it.
04 - Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture, or transfer the mixture to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 1 to 2 hours until it reaches a firmer, scoopable consistency.
05 - Top with fresh fruit, chopped nuts or seeds, dark chocolate shavings, or coconut flakes before serving.
