# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Frozen bananas do all the heavy lifting, making it thick and milkshake-like without any ice cream or guilt.
  • It tastes like a peanut butter cup had a baby with a banana split, and it takes less than five minutes from thought to glass.
02 -
  • Do not use green or barely yellow bananas, they lack the sugar needed to balance the cocoa and you will end up with something bitter and weirdly fibrous.
  • Peel your bananas before freezing them unless you enjoy the humbling experience of chiseling a frozen peel off a rock hard banana at dawn.
03 -
  • Freeze your bananas in slices laid flat on a parchment lined plate for an hour before bagging them, they blend faster and more evenly than whole frozen chunks.
  • A tiny pinch of salt in the blender makes the chocolate and peanut butter flavors explode in a way that catches people off guard every time.
